Many of the 1 billion-strong members of Western religious faith can be placed in one of two categories, those who believe we are living, in what we may call the "Pre-Messianic" age, and those who subscribe to a "Post-Messianic" existence. Individuals among the latter are of the belief that Jesus was the divine personality designated to bring vicarious atonement and perfection to the world. Most of the Jewish world reject this notion and believe mankind has not yet arrived at that place in time called "Yemot HaMashiach" (lit. the Days of the Messiah).

Perhaps no single issue divides the religious Western world more than this. It is not the purpose of Two Roads to influence how one should believe in this regard. However, because we have developed this website to inform and enlighten, we wish to share with you the Jewish traditional approach to this volatile and often, contentious issue. Because you accessed this site of you own free will, we ask you not to take offense at what might appear as a put down or rejection of the individual identified as the messiah by most of Christianity. The following has been reprinted with permission from the outstanding award-winning Jewish Internet site www.Jewfaq.org Our visitors are advised to access their informative and user-friendly data-base for more information on this topic, and virtually any other, related to Judaism.
